Beginning January 1, 2009, the Pennsylvania’s new Right-To-Know Law Act 3 of 2008 took effect. This new law established that all records kept by government entities are presumed to be open to the public, with some exceptions. The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit (MCIU) operating in full compliance with the law has established the following measures for requesting access to public records. These procedures are detailed in the Right to Know Policy and Administrative Regulations document accessible using the link below from the Pennsylvania Office of Open Records website:
The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit has designated an Open Records Officer:
Sandra M. Edling
CFO/Director of Management Services
MCIU
2 West Lafayette Street
Norristown, PA 19401
Phone 610-755-9410
Fax 888-965-4194
Email: rtk@mciu.org
A written request for access to a public record shall be submitted on the required form and addressed to the Open Records Officer, Ms. Edling and sent by mail, fax, or email.
