Assessment plays an integral role in all classrooms, schools, and systems. In this asynchronous course, designed for self-paced learning, participants will explore three main assessment categories: assessment for learning, assessment of learning, and assessment as learning. Video content, embedded articles and interactive tasks are organized to promote reflection on current practices and self-assessment to drive further learning into the additional assessment courses. This offering is designed to serve as a foundational course for the other assessment courses available at the MCIU. While not required as a prerequisite for these other courses, it is highly recommended to navigate through this course first.
