Math Leadership Cohort: Rethinking Mathematics Intervention & Enrichment

Starts Wednesday, October 21, 2026 | 8:30 AM-11:30 AM

This series is a collaborative leadership cohort for math leaders, curriculum coordinators, instructional coaches, interventionists, and administrators focused on rethinking traditional approaches to math intervention. Across four half-day sessions, participants will explore research-based practices that move beyond remediation and instead prioritize acceleration, equitable access to grade-level mathematics, and responsive support grounded in student thinking. Through interactive learning experiences, analysis of student work and intervention structures, collaborative planning time, and resource exploration, participants will examine how effective intervention systems are designed at both the instructional and systems levels. Topics will include acceleration versus remediation, formative assessment, diagnosing unfinished learning, high-impact intervention instruction, equitable intervention structures, and leadership moves that support sustainable implementation. Participants will leave the series with practical tools, collaborative networks, and actionable plans to strengthen math intervention practices within their schools and districts.

Strengthening Tier 1 Math Instruction by Embracing UDL (K-12)

Thursday, November 5, 2026 | 9:00 AM-3:00 PM

This full-day session will allow participants to dive into effective mathematics teaching practices aligned with Universal Design for Learning (UDL). The session will include unpacking standards and learning progressions, identifying skill gaps, and implementing evidence-based strategies to support all learners. Educators will analyze instructional design choices and engage in application activities to enhance their classroom practices. Participants will explore instructional design moves that foster accessibility and engagement through hands-on activities with fellow educators. Come prepared to learn, participate, and apply your knowledge.

High School Math Doesn’t Have to Suck

Starts Thursday, November 19, 2026 | 8:30 AM-11:30 AM

This high school mathematics cohort is designed to support school district teams that are actively planning for the implementation of multiple pathways in high school mathematics. District teams will engage in structured collaboration with peers who share a common goal of rethinking and strengthening the high school mathematics experience.

Sessions will blend networking, idea sharing, and guided work time as teams examine their local contexts, learn from one another, and develop a clear, actionable plan aligned with district goals and student needs.

Dr. Eric Milou will facilitate both full-day sessions.

Meetings are November 19th, January 7th, March 3rd, and May 6th.
