Student Artisan Showcase

This year, a few Montgomery County School Districts are here with their school student shoppe items. In each of the programs, the students make items in their hands-on programs where they can develop job skills, creativity, and independence through real-world experiences. Our student shoppes give students the opportunity to design, create, and sell a variety of unique products while learning about customer service, teamwork, money management, and responsibility. By participating in this year’s Resource Fair, our students can display their hard work! Every item you see is crafted, packaged, or prepared with care by our students. Stop by our booths to support student entrepreneurs, celebrate ability, and take home something special!

The planning team, in cooperation with its county-wide partners, is excited to support families and educators in accessing essential services outside of the school day.

Participant registration is strongly encouraged. Families and educators are invited to attend and learn more about the services available for students with disabilities. No childcare is available.

Agencies and organizations that support students with disabilities and their families that are invited to attend include:

    • School-age resources for students and families with disabilities.
    • County, State, and Federal Program Providers including the Office of Developmental Program, Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, and Work Force Providers.
    • Postsecondary Educational and Training Programs for individuals with disabilities
    • Behavioral and Mental Health Providers
    • Summer Camp programs for students with disabilities
    • Community and Advocacy groups for individuals with disabilities and the families that support them.

    • County Supportive Services for individuals with disabilities such as transportation providers.

Programming Note: Vendors are required to register and cannot attend unless they have registered through our system.  Vendors can contact Kari KKessler@mciu.org for more information.
