Kirpa Chohan is a Project Consultant at Montgomery County Intermediate Unit (MCIU) specializing in mathematics education. With a background encompassing teaching experience at both middle school and high school levels in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, Kirpa brings a deep understanding of classroom dynamics and student needs to her current role.

Kirpa earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology with minors in Mathematics and Statistics from The College of New Jersey. She further obtained her Master’s in Mathematics Secondary Education. Her commitment to advancing educational practices led her to pursue advanced degrees, including an Educational Specialist degree in Supervision of Instruction and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of the Cumberlands. She recently completed the PDE Principal Certification program at Delaware Valley University. Kirpa’s PDE certifications include Mathematics 7-12 and Supervisory Curriculum and Instruction PK-12; she is in the process of applying for her Principal PK-12 certification.

At MCIU, Kirpa’s primary goal is to provide professional learning opportunities that make mathematics relevant and engaging for all students. Her expertise in curriculum development, instructional strategies, and educational leadership enables her to design and implement initiatives that empower educators and enhance student learning outcomes.
