Julie Ortlieb is a Project Consultant in the Office of Professional Learning at the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit.  Her speciality is Special Education, and she focuses her work on supporting learners with complex instructional needs.  Julie has a vast array of education experience. She has taught in various special education settings, ranging from self-contained special education classrooms to inclusive, co-taught general education classrooms.  Her passion for education and dedication to reaching all learners is evident in her engaging presentations. 

Prior to her role as a Project Consultant, Julie was an Inclusion Facilitator and Special Educator in the North Penn School District.  She was also a Multiple Disabilities Support Teacher with MCIU.  Julie is a certified Wilson Reading Instructor with experience teaching the Wilson Reading Program, Fundations, and Just Words.

Julie has a Bachelors in Education from Millersville University in Elementary & Special Education with a minor in Psychology.  She has a Masters Degree in Special Education from West Chester University.  She also earned an Autism Certificate through Gwynedd Mercy University.  In her spare time, Julie enjoys kickboxing, cooking, and spending time with her family.
