Beginning January 1, 2009, the Pennsylvania’s new Right-To-Know Law Act 3 of 2008 took effect. This new law established that all records kept by government entities are presumed to be open to the public, with some exceptions.  The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit (MCIU) operating in full compliance with the law has established the following measures for requesting access to public records. These procedures are detailed in the Right to Know Policy and Administrative Regulations document accessible using the link below from the Pennsylvania Office of Open Records website:
